Reports To: Production Manager

1. Job Purpose

To manage and optimize through-hole (TH) assembly operations, ensuring production target achievement, component insertion accuracy, soldering quality, process compliance, and manufacturing efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and control daily production activities based on production schedules and line capacity.
• Supervise Production Engineers, Line Leaders, and operators to achieve production targets.
• Monitor manpower utilization, line balancing, UPH, cycle time, and OEE.
• Ensure correct component insertion, polarity, orientation, and compliance with BOM and assembly drawings.
• Control soldering processes and ensure compliance with applicable IPC workmanship standards.
• Monitor FPY, rejection, rework, and soldering defects; drive root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Coordinate with Quality, R&D, Maintenance, and Planning teams to resolve technical and production issues.
• Ensure implementation of SOPs, WIs, ESD controls, 5S, and safety requirements.
• Drive process improvement, defect reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure production documentation, material traceability, and process control records are maintained.
• Support NPI, process validation, engineering changes, and production capacity expansion.

3. Authorities

• Allocate manpower and production resources across TH assembly lines.
• Stop production in case of critical quality, process, or safety deviations.
• Initiate corrective actions for recurring production and process issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical support and prioritize operational requirements.
• Recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and operator training.

4. Accountabilities

• Achievement of production targets and line efficiency.
• Component insertion accuracy and solder joint quality.
• Reduction of rejection, rework, and process-related defects.
• Effective manpower utilization and production cost control.
• Compliance with process standards, ESD, safety, and 5S.
• Equipment utilization, downtime reduction, and timely issue resolution.
