Assistant Manager, Operational Risk

Our client is a reputable financial institution. To cope with the business development, they are inviting experienced professionals to join the team in H.K.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance monitoring tools for evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls in the Business, including reviewing key indicators, control testing and conducting thematic reviews
• Design and implement operational risk management framework to ensure regulatory & operational risks are identified, properly assessed, mitigated and recorded;
• Analyze operational risk incident trends, root causes and design mitigation measures
• Monitor risk issues and follow up action items to ensure remediation
• Review documented policies and procedures to remain current and are aligned to Risk Policy and the processes taking place
• Conduct thematic/ ad hoc review/ gap analysis, as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

• Degree holder in risk management, finance, business accounting or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Institutions, Risk Department or Internal Audit
• Good understanding of risk assessment methodologies
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills and fluent in both written & spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
