Assistant Manager Operational Transportation

• Manage and control daily transportation operations to ensure smooth, safe, and timely delivery.
• Develop operational plans covering fleet allocation, driver manpower, delivery schedules, and transportation capacity based on customer requirements.
• Monitor fleet utilization, truck availability, delivery performance, and driver productivity to achieve operational targets.
• Control transportation costs, fuel consumption, overtime, and subcontractor utilization to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, transportation regulations, and occupational safety standards.
• Monitor driver discipline, vehicle readiness, pre-operation vehicle inspections (P2H), and driver fitness-for-duty requirements.
• Analyze operational issues, customer complaints, and recurring safety or quality problems, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, customers, and subcontractors to resolve operational issues and maintain service quality.
• Prepare and review operational performance reports, KPI achievements, and improvement plans for management.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate the operational team to improve productivity, accountability, and service performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, and digitalization to enhance transportation efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transportation or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in fleet management, driver manpower planning, delivery scheduling, and transportation cost control.
• Good understanding of transportation safety, operational compliance, and customer service requirements.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting; experience with data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make data-driven operational decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with KPI monitoring, continuous improvement, and quality management systems.
• Willingness to support operational activities across multiple locations, as required.
