Assistant Manager or Manager - Production Material Control

Position Summary:

• Initiate all actions and communications necessary to achieve or exceed the monthly ex-factory sales and factory throughput targets, thereby ensuring the attainment of the annual budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional factory departments, suppliers, and internal and external customers to achieve production and sales targets.
• Manage the lead time of manufacturing orders to ensure completion within the targeted timeframe.
• Maintain and enhance systems, documentation (including SOPs and work instructions), and operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide support for New Product Development sampling and qualification activities as required to facilitate new business opportunities and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop production plans in collaboration with the Production team and closely monitor progress to ensure timely execution.
• Plan material requirements and monitor deliveries to support production schedules and sales objectives.
• Track performance against targets and drive corrective actions to recover any missed targets.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans to address emerging issues and safeguard production output and sales performance.
• Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of operational activities.
• Monitor raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods (FG) inventory levels to meet production and sales requirements, maintain optimal inventory levels, and minimize obsolete inventory.
• Ensure system accuracy and timely transaction completion to support financial reporting and lead-time management, while maintaining compliance with SOPs and work instructions for audit purposes.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and maximize resource utilization.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing supply chain management, including concepts such as Just-in-Time (JIT) and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience in leveraging AI tools or other process improvement solutions to streamline daily operations is an advantage.
• Strong results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive performance and achieve targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively align and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
• Be able to travel as needed.
