Assistant Manager - Payroll

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations for a large employee population across multiple locations. The role will be responsible for payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, HRMS, vendor coordination, reconciliations, and employee payroll support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll and validate payroll inputs.
• Handle payroll reconciliation, salary processing, deductions, incentives, overtime and Full & Final settlements.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS and labour laws.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors, Finance and HR teams for timely payroll closure.
• Maintain employee/payroll data in HRMS and ensure audit readiness.
• Prepare Payroll MIS, reports and analytics and resolve employee payroll queries.
• Drive payroll process improvement and automation.

Experience

• 35 years of experience in Payroll or HR Operations. • Experience managing payroll for large employee populations (1,500–5,000+ employees) across multiple locations. • Prior exposure to Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Retail, Logistics, Manufacturing, or FMCG is preferred. • Experience working with outsourced payroll vendors and HRMS platforms. Technical Skills • Payroll processing and reconciliation • HRMS platforms (Darwinbox, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, etc.) • Payroll software (Ramco, ADP, SAP Payroll, or similar) • Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred) • Power BI or Tableau (preferred)
