Job Summary

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Assistant Manager Procurement to lead and optimize our procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end purchasing, complex vendor negotiations, contract management, and SLA compliance. This leadership role requires deep commercial acumen, a strong local vendor network in Hyderabad, and proficiency in driving cost optimization across admin, IT, and operational expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing Operations: Oversee the complete Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle, ensuring 100% compliance with internal governance, budgetary constraints, and corporate policies.

Vendor Management & Onboarding: Identify, evaluate, onboard, and maintain relationships with top-tier local and national vendors for corporate office admin, IT infrastructure, facilities, and capital expenses.

Commercial Negotiation & Cost Optimization: Lead high-value contract negotiations to secure optimal pricing, favourable payment terms, and extended warranties. Drive proactive cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives.

SLA Tracking & Governance: Establish and enforce robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for critical suppliers. Track order Turnaround Times (TAT) and enforce penalties for non-adherence.

RFP / RFQ & Comparative Analysis: Float RFPs/RFQs for major procurement projects, analyse multi-vendor

bids, prepare executive comparative statements, and present recommendations to senior management.

Contract & Risk Management: Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to draft, review, and renew Master Service Agreements (MSAs), NDAs, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).

Reporting & MIS Management: Maintain accurate procurement analytics, MIS dashboards, and spend reports using advanced MS Excel and ERP platforms (SAP / Oracle / MS Dynamics).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 8 to 12 years of proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and strategic sourcing in a corporate setup.

Education: Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or Engineering (MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations is strongly preferred).

Local Market Expertise: Established network of reliable local vendors across Hyderabad for office facilities, IT hardware, printing/branding, and administrative services.

Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of MIS reporting, MS Excel (Pivot Tables, complex lookup formulas, SLA trackers), and ERP purchasing modules.

Leadership Communication: Superior negotiation, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills with fluency in English and regional languages (Telugu/Hindi).
