Assistant Manager - Production

Assistant Manager – Production needed to lead day‑to‑day operations at Varun Beverages’ Pathankot plant, ensuring targets, quality, safety and efficiency.

Varun Beverages Ltd. is seeking a technically competent Assistant Manager – Production for its Pathankot facility. The role involves overseeing daily manufacturing activities, meeting production targets, maintaining stringent quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the plant while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

• Plan, supervise and monitor daily production activities according to the production schedule.

• Achieve production targets while maximizing productivity and operational efficiency.

• Lead multi‑shift production teams, ensuring optimal manpower deployment.

• Track line performance, process parameters, equipment uptime and loss control.

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering and other functions for seamless plant operations.

• Enforce GMP, GHP, SOPs, safety standards and company policies.

• Analyse performance data, identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement projects.

• Prepare accurate shift reports, documentation and production MIS.

• Investigate deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions and support audits.

• Train and develop team members to enhance technical capability and workplace discipline.

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline.

• 4–8 years of experience in production/manufacturing, preferably FMCG or Food & Beverage.

• Proven experience managing high‑speed production lines and shift teams.

• Strong knowledge of GMP, GHP and SOP compliance.

• Ability to analyse production data, control losses and drive productivity improvements.

• Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.

• Effective cross‑functional coordination and communication abilities.

• Leadership skills with a focus on team development.

• Proficiency in MS Office and production MIS tools.
