Role Objective

To lead and coordinate new product development and customer projects, ensuring successful execution from project initiation through Start of Production (SOP), while meeting customer requirements, timelines, quality standards, and profitability targets.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead project kick-off meetings with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Project Execution Plans (PEP) and project timelines.
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
• Evaluate technical, commercial, and timeline feasibility of projects.
• Prepare project cost estimates and monitor project profitability.
• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal processes, and industry standards.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and customers.

Preferred candidate profile

Technical & Industry Knowledge

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and product development.
• Experience in rubber, plastic, and/or metal component development.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of project costing, profitability analysis, and resource planning.

Project Management

• Experience using Gantt Charts, MS Project, or equivalent project management tools.
• Strong risk assessment, mitigation planning, and issue resolution capabilities.
• Knowledge of the complete product development lifecycle from concept to SOP.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and milestone management skills.

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and customer handling skills.
