Position: Assistant Manager - Purchase

Department: Purchase / Procurement
Experience: 3-6 Years
Qualification: Bachelor's degree and master's Degree (Preferred)
Location: Hinjewadi Phase 1, Pune

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the FMS Commodity Purchase Team as a Team Leader.
• Handle procurement activities and ensure smooth purchasing operations for FMS commodities.
• Support and monitor day-to-day store activities, including routine follow-ups and coordination.
• Conduct supplier negotiations to achieve the best commercial terms, quality, and delivery commitments.
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Act as a Management Representative during internal and external audits and ensure departmental compliance.
• Manage certification-related activities and coordinate with respective agencies for timely renewal of certifications.
• Drive team development by mentoring, guiding, and strengthening the procurement team.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, and productivity enhancements.
• Take ownership of new initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement programs.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Purchase/Procurement of FMS Commodities.
• Proven experience in a Team Lead role.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory, stores operations, and procurement processes.

Eligibility Criteria :

• Experience: 3-6 years of core experience in Purchase, preferably in FMS Commodity Procurement.
• Must have experience in team handling and leadership responsibilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
