Assistant Manager, Quality Control

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct routine quality surveillance of Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, and Ramp Operations; proactively track, log, and close out all findings
• Serve as a key interface with the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) during formal surveys and actively manage the remediation and follow-up process for DCA283 compliance.
• Implement, and support the internal and external audit program (including HKA frameworks)
• Partner closely with the Airport Authority, local Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers, and Ground Handling Agents (GHA) to identify, investigate, and resolve complex ramp safety issues
• Partner with the Corporate Safety Department to manage Safety Cases and systematically monitor, evaluate, and follow up on local contractor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Perform dedicated Ground and Ramp Hazard Investigations to determine root causes of quality deviations or safety near-misses
• Oversee and maintain the Qualitative Data Repository, ensuring complete data integrity, compliance tracking, and reliable reporting
• Manage, design, and deliver targeted quality and compliance training programs to internal teams and external stakeholders
• Execute specialized tasks, continuous improvement initiatives, and critical projects as assigned by the General Manager, Quality Assurance & Safety

Requirements

• Non-Degree Tertiary Educational Level or above, in Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive aircraft maintenance or engineering experience for the Manager level, or 8 years for the Assistant Manager level
• Holding of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (HKAR-66/ CAAC-66) is preferred
• Completed Aircraft Type Training or General Familiarization training on A320 or A330 is preferred
• Holder of Hong Kong driving license is preferred
• Good leadership, project management and coordination and critical-thinking skills
• A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, attentive to details
• Strong in communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines
• Fluent command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
