Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow during all shifts
• Lead and motivate staff through effective team management, training, and development
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety compliance
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales tracking
• Supervise food production processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all menu items
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to guarantee satisfaction
• Assist in shift management, including scheduling staff and monitoring performance
• Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled team
• Monitor profit and loss statements, budgeting, and overall restaurant profitability

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food service management
• Demonstrated supervising experience with team leadership capabilities
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills
• Experience with food safety management, inventory control, and food handling procedures
• Familiarity with culinary processes including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
• Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
• Prior experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Hospitality management background with experience in managing hospitality teams and overseeing shift operations
• Ability to analyze profit and loss reports, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures
