Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Key Responsibilities

Floor Management & Service Execution

• Direct shift operations across the dining room, host stand, expo line, and bar to ensure smooth guest flow and service timing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving guest feedback, special requests, and service breakdowns in real time.
• Conduct daily opening and closing procedures, including building security, cash drawer reconciliations, and facility checklists.
• Monitor food presentation, beverage quality, and service accuracy before items reach the guest.

Team Leadership & HR

• Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor FOH staff (servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and food runners).
• Create weekly employee schedules aligned with sales forecasts and target labor percentages.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate menu updates, service standards, and shift objectives.
• Manage performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and staff retention initiatives.

Financial & Systems Oversight

• Track daily sales, labor costs, comps, voids, and cash flow; adjust staffing levels mid-shift based on floor volume.
• Ensure accurate tip distribution and compliance with local payroll and labor laws.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Enforce health department codes, food handling standards, and sanitation procedures throughout guest-facing areas.
• Maintain active compliance with state/local liquor laws and responsible alcohol service protocols.
• Oversee floor safety routines to prevent slip-and-fall hazards for both staff and patrons.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
