Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Koharu Sushi & Ramen is seeking a dependable and organized Assistant Manager - Restaurant to support daily restaurant operations and the front-of-house team. This role works closely with restaurant management to coordinate staff, maintain service standards, assist guests, and help ensure efficient operations throughout each shift. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can stay organized, support team members, and respond professionally to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily restaurant operations and guest service.
• Support managers with staff assignments, scheduling, and shift coordination.
• Guide and support restaurant team members during busy service periods.
• Monitor order accuracy, service quality, and overall guest experience.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.
• Respond to routine customer questions and service concerns professionally.
• Support POS operations and routine cash-handling procedures.
• Monitor restaurant supplies and communicate restocking needs.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, workplace, and company procedures.
• Communicate staffing, customer, supply, and operational needs to restaurant management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food-service, or customer-service experience.
• Previous supervisory, shift-lead, or assistant-management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable taking responsibility.
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to customer service, cleanliness, and operational details.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic restaurant procedures is helpful.
• Able to support, train, and work effectively with restaurant team members.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
