Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food quality
• Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
• Control inventory levels through accurate stock management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
• Train new team members and provide ongoing staff development to enhance skills and performance
• Monitor shift performance, manage staffing schedules, and ensure smooth workflow during busy hours

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with supervisory or assistant management roles
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
• Hands-on experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in cash handling and basic math skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing hospitality teams, supervising staff, and conducting interviews
• Familiarity with food industry regulations, food safety management, and culinary practices
• Effective communication skills for managerial tasks such as training, team management, and customer service excellence
• Ability to thrive in a casual dining or fine dining setting with experience in banquet or catering operations preferred

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
