Duties

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and staff coordination
• Lead and motivate a team of servers, cooks, and other staff to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold quality standards
• Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation
• Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure proper food production and waste reduction
• Train new staff members on food safety protocols, customer service standards, and operational procedures
• Supervise kitchen activities, including food handling, cooking, and presentation to maintain consistency and quality across all dishes
• Conduct staff performance evaluations, assist with interviewing candidates, and support staff training & development initiatives
• Analyze profit and loss reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to maximize restaurant profitability
• Ensure compliance with health regulations related to food safety management, sanitation standards, and workplace safety

Skills

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
• Excellent team management skills with experience in supervising hospitality teams and managing shift schedules
• Ability to handle cash accurately while performing cash handling duties confidently
• Effective communication skills for managerial roles including interviewing, training, and leadership communication
• Sound understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures
• Experience in managing hospitality operations such as catering or banquet services is a plus
• Basic math skills for budgeting, cost analysis, and profit & loss assessments
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through training & development initiatives while fostering a positive work environment
• Knowledge of food industry standards related to culinary excellence, food production, and customer service excellence
