Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary

St. Johns Town Center sweetFrog is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This position will assist in the daily operations and management of the Town Center store. Qualified candidates will have experience in restaurant operations, prior manager experience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, customer-centered environment. This position will work a combination of weekdays, weeknights and weekends. Pay range includes base pay and tips.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise and train team members on food preparation, customer service protocols, POS systems (such as NCR Aloha POS ), and food safety standards.
• Oversee food handling to guarantee quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety guidelines.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, manage shift cash handling procedures, and perform regular cash reconciliation.
• Will rotate responsibility for driving to the bank for deposits and change orders.
• Opening and Closing of the store and all duties associated with this.

Skills

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in hospitality or restaurant management roles with skills in team leadership and staff training.
• Deep understanding of food safety management practices, inventory control, and food handling procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, staff coaching, and customer service excellence.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in shift management, managing hospitality teams, and overseeing kitchen operations in casual dining or fine dining settings.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
