Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift management and excellent customer experiences
• Lead, motivate, and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (including Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols
• Oversee food handling, preparation, and production to meet quality standards and health regulations
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile registers at shift end
• Monitor staff performance through training & development initiatives and conduct interviews for hiring new team members
• Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for increasing revenue and reducing costs

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in basic math for cash handling and inventory calculations
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing hospitality teams, supervising staff training, and team management
• Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, staff coaching, and customer service excellence
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and food industry standards
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-energy environment; experience with shift management is preferred
• Background in culinary or hospitality management with previous assistant manager experience is highly desirable

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
