Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Duties

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts
• Lead, motivate, and train team members to deliver outstanding food and customer experiences
• Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are consistently met
• Oversee inventory control, including stock levels, ordering, and waste reduction
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS
• Monitor food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Assist with shift management, including scheduling staff and managing labor costs
• Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures
• Support kitchen management by coordinating food production and maintaining cleanliness standards

Skills

• Extensive experience in restaurant environments
• Proven supervisory experience with team management, staff training, and interviewing skills
• Knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and food handling regulations
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills for managerial roles
• Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality and cleanliness
• Basic math skills for cash handling, budgeting, and profit analysis
• Experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
