Duties

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring service standards are met.
• Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold food safety standards.
• Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment.
• Train new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, customer service protocols, and POS usage.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations, assist with interviewing candidates, and support staff development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices across all restaurant areas.
• Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management.
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry is essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is required.
• Knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and food production processes.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
• Strong communication skills suitable for managerial roles including training staff and managing customer interactions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory management.
• Experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data related to profit margins and budgeting efforts.
