Assistant Manager - Restaurant

The Assistant Manager oversees all FOH operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient staffing, accurate financial processes, and seamless coordination with the Back of House. This role maintains and elevates service standards, ensures guest satisfaction, oversees the bar, and supports overall superior restaurant performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service

• Lead and manage all day‑to‑day Front of House operations.
• Ensure FOH service standards, steps of service, and guest experience expectations are consistently met.
• Maintain all FOH areas in compliance with Health Code and safe‑service protocols.
• Oversee bar operations and uphold beverage service standards.
• Support communication and coordination between FOH and BOH teams.

Staffing & Training

• Recruit, hire, and onboard all FOH team members to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly FOH schedules within labor budget.
• Train and cross‑train FOH staff on service standards, edge training, and operational procedures.

Inventory & Ordering

• Order and maintain FOH supplies, china, glassware, silver, and POS materials at par levels.
• Manage FOH uniform inventory and ensure compliance with uniform standards.
• Work with Chef to maintain menu accuracy in TOAST POS system

Financial & Administrative

• Complete daily end‑of‑day procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
• Count and secure bank deposits at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Run daily reports to monitor promos, voids, and budget adherence.
• Review monthly P&L statements for accuracy.
• Communicate operational needs in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management and Ownership

Physical Requirements

• Stand or sit for extended periods.
• Move, lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and wear company‑approved uniform each shift.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Management: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Tennessee ABC card (Required)
