Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Michael's at Shoreline is looking for an energetic, professional, and motivated full-time Assistant Restaurant manager to help oversee day to day restaurant operations at our fast-casual restaurant. Located on the beautiful Shoreline Golf Links, our venue offers stunning views, and golf perks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, leadership, and working closely with guests and staff in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in ensuring daily restaurant operations run smoothly. You will oversee staff performance, help maintain service standards, and help create exceptional guest experiences. Gratuity opportunities are excellent due to the volume of business.

Responsibilities

• Supervise front-of-house staff and ensure team members remain productive and on task
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the restaurant and banquet facilities
• Ensure guests receive outstanding service
• Assist with restaurant closing duties
• Available to cover bartending shifts
• Monitor service flow and troubleshoot issues before they impact guests
• Communicate effectively with management, kitchen staff, banquet teams, and guests
• Lead by example and foster a positive team environment

RequirementsRequired

• Restaurant and/or banquet experience is required
• Leadership or supervisory experience is required
• ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety certification
• Valid California Driver's License
• California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certification
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

• Bartending experience is a plus, but not required
• We can train the right candidate on our bar program
• Must be comfortable preparing and serving simple cocktails, beer, and wine when coverage is needed
