Duties

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management to ensure smooth functioning.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff by providing clear guidance, training, and ongoing development to foster a high-performing team.
• Manage inventory control through stock monitoring, merchandising, stocking, and purchasing to optimize product availability and presentation.
• Implement effective sales strategies by engaging customers, promoting products, and utilizing upselling techniques to meet sales targets.
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews, and recruiting efforts to build a talented team aligned with company values.
• Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and manage budgets to maintain operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, maintaining phone etiquette, and resolving issues with professionalism.
• Coordinate shift management responsibilities including scheduling staff coverage and managing operational workflows during busy hours.
• Utilize management skills to oversee store merchandising standards, pricing strategies, and promotional activities that enhance store appeal.
• Maintain organizational excellence through effective communication skills, time management, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management systems (POS systems), and operational procedures.
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee training & development, recruiting, and team supervision.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, budgeting calculations, and inventory control.
• Experience with grocery or similar retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $20.99 - $22.00 per hour
