About the Role

We are looking for an experienced settlement professional to join our Operations team as Assistant Manager, Settlement & Operations.

The successful candidate will support our licensed corporation’s securities operations and settlement functions across multiple markets and products.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Settlement

Handle end-to-end settlement for:

• Hong Kong equities
• US equities
• ETFs
• Bonds
• IPO subscriptions
• OTC transactions
• Structured products
• Listed derivatives
• Corporate actions

Daily Operations

• Perform trade matching and affirmation.
• Process settlement instructions.
• Conduct position reconciliations.
• Conduct cash reconciliations.
• Investigate failed trades.
• Handle settlement exceptions.

Broker, Custodian and Counterparty Management

Liaise with:

• CCASS
• DTC
• Custodian banks
• Prime brokers
• Executing brokers
• Counterparties

Ensure timely settlement and issue resolution.

Corporate Actions

Handle:

• Dividends
• Rights issues
• Bonus shares
• Tender offers
• Stock splits
• Mergers
• Voluntary corporate actions

Regulatory and Operational Controls

• Ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Support operational risk management.
• Maintain operational records.
• Participate in regulatory inspections.
• Improve operational workflows.

Client Support

• Coordinate settlement enquiries.
• Handle institutional client operational requests.
• Support onboarding from an operational perspective.

Projects

Participate in:

• System enhancements
• Process automation
• New product launches
• Operational procedure improvements

Requirements

Experience

• Three to eight years of securities settlement experience.
• Hands-on experience in Hong Kong licensed corporations.
• Familiarity with Type 1 licensed corporation operations.
• Experience in Hong Kong and US market settlement.
• Experience in institutional brokerage operations.

Product Knowledge

Experience in the settlement of:

• Hong Kong equities
• US equities
• ETFs
• IPO subscriptions
• Bonds
• OTC transactions
• Listed derivatives
• Structured products

Experience in tokenised securities or digital assets would be an advantage.

System Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

• CCASS
• DTC
• SWIFT
• Bloomberg
• FlexSystem
• Fidessa
• OMS/EMS
• Custodian platforms
