Assistant Manager, Stores (Non-Raw Materials)

Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and inventory control of the Non-Raw Materials Stores, particularly repair and maintenance spare parts, MRO materials, office supplies, consumables, and other operational materials. Ensures proper receiving, storage, issuance, availability, and inventory accuracy to support uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the receiving, storage, issuance, and monitoring of repair and maintenance spare parts, MRO materials, office supplies, consumables, and other non-raw materials.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintenance materials to support plant operations and minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points, and critical inventory to prevent stock-outs.
• Maintain accurate physical and system inventory records and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct and supervise cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Procurement, Production, Finance, and other departments regarding material requirements and availability.
• Monitor material consumption and identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and critical items.
• Ensure proper documentation for receiving, issuance, returns, transfers, and stock adjustments.
• Supervise Storekeepers/Store Assistants and ensure proper manpower deployment and work execution.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, preservation, housekeeping, security, and safe handling of materials.
• Maintain an organized bin/location and item identification system for efficient material retrieval and inventory control.
• Prepare regular inventory, stock movement, consumption, variance, and aging reports.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, inventory controls, safety requirements, and audit standards.
• Recommend improvements in inventory accuracy, spare parts availability, storage efficiency, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields.
• 5–8 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, Inventory, or Materials Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory/Assistant Manager/ team-lead capacity.
• Strong experience handling Repair & Maintenance Spare Parts, MRO Materials, Office Supplies, Consumables, and other Non-RM Materials.
• Knowledge of inventory control, stock level management, warehouse operations, and ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel and inventory/warehouse management systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong accountability for inventory accuracy and material availability.
• Willing to be based in Darong, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur.
