• Understanding of Open-source repositories (CentOS, RHEL, Rocky etc)

• Knowledge of DevOps/Kubernetes Clusters

• Experience in installation of Nvidia Cuda Toolkits and Drivers

Key Responsibilities

Configure, install and troubleshoot scientific applications and workload manager on supercomputer.

Provision of software support to users of Supercomputing facility.

1. Install, configure & manage Linux based Clusters using open-source tools.

2. Create and manage supercomputer user accounts and group policies.

3. Provide technical support to scientific users in utilizing HPC facility.

4. Configure, install and troubleshoot scientific applications and workload manager on supercomputer.

5. Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot cluster nodes (as and when required).

6. Support scientific users in running simulations in serial / parallel environment on supercomputer.

7. Monitor performance and troubleshoot problems of supercomputer (if any) on regular basis.

8. Resolve day to day problems related to all lab software as well a supercomputer facility.

9. Prepare and update Supercomputer usage manuals regular basis.

10. Prepare and update VPN connectivity manuals on regular basis.

11. Assist GM Supercomputing in trainings and workshops related to supercomputing facility.

12. Backup and restore supercomputer data.

13. Assess the compatibility of the software with the hardware and OS of supercomputer.

14. Obtain the compatible version of software source code and identify dependencies. Resolve all dependencies properly.

15. Any other rask assigned by Principal SINES.

• 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.

• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

• In process of pursuing a required degree.

• Medically unfit.

Candidates serving in Govt departments or Armed forces will be required to furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective parent department / organization.
