Assistant Manager Tool Room Machine Shop

Qualification

• Diploma / Degree in Tool Engineering (TRTC, CIPET, NTTF, ISTC or equivalent)

• MS Office / MS-CIT mandatory

• SAP knowledge preferred

  Experience

• Strong experience in Tool Room Machine Shop operations.

• Hands-on exposure to EDM, Wire EDM, VMC and other machining processes.

• Experience in tool manufacturing, machining accuracy control, and production planning.

  Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute tool part machining as per PPC loading plan.

• Ensure machining of tool components with zero rejection and minimum rework.

• Conduct daily machine shop reviews and monitor production progress.

• Distribute machining jobs based on machine load and capacity utilization.

• Ensure optimum utilization of consumables such as wire, resin, cutting tools, etc.

• Perform machine capacity planning based on tool development priorities.

• Drive initiatives for machining cycle time reduction and cutting tool life improvement.

• Maintain effective machine utilization and achieve OEE targets.

• Reduce machining consumable costs and machining scrap.

• Lead and manage a team of approximately 20 associates.

• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for smooth operations.

  Technical Skills

• Mandatory knowledge of Delcam programming.

• Mandatory knowledge of EDM Wire EDM programming.

• Good understanding of VMC programming.

• Strong knowledge of tooling and machining accuracy requirements.

• Hands-on experience with Creo, Pro-E, AutoCAD and other design software.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tooling specifications.
