Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager Trainee to join our retail team. Duties

• Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
• Support employee orientation, training & development initiatives to foster a high-performing team
• Participate in interviewing and recruiting efforts to attract talented retail staff
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales
• Handle cash handling, cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) systems operation, and basic bookkeeping tasks
• Contribute to payroll processing and assist with budgeting and operational management tasks
• Support shift management duties including supervising staff, overseeing sales management activities, and ensuring operational standards are met

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within retail or similar industries
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial communication
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for retail math and bookkeeping
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Knowledge of retail industry sales team management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and customer service standards
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development is highly desirable
• Leadership qualities with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and operational excellence
