Assistant Manager, Transshipment & Equipment

Job Responsibility:

• Lead and manage the daily Transshipment & Equipment operations to ensure efficient cargo movement and equipment availability.
• Monitor transshipment performance and container equipment utilization to achieve operational KPIs.
• Plan and coordinate equipment allocation, repositioning, and inventory to support business requirements.
• Resolve operational issues, service disruptions, and equipment shortages in a timely manner.
• Supervise, coach, and develop the Transshipment & Equipment team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Collaborate with internal departments, terminals, depots, overseas offices, and service providers to ensure smooth operational execution.
• Analyse operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
• Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, service quality, and cost performance.
• Support the Operations Manager in achieving departmental goals and strategic initiatives.

Job Scope:

• Manage the end-to-end Transshipment & Equipment operations.
• Lead and supervise the Transshipment & Equipment team.
• Ensure optimum container equipment availability and utilization.
• Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service reliability.
• Manage operational risks, contingency plans, and issue resolution.
• Support departmental planning, budgeting, and resource management.
• Act on behalf of the Operations Manager for Transshipment & Equipment matters when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.

Required Competency

1.      Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Business studies or equivalent.

2.      5 years relevant working experience.

3.      Experience in Shipping/Transportation/Logistics industry.

4.      Able to work independently as well as in a team.

5.      Good fit with ATRCL values.
