Assistant Manager - Wholesale Operations

The Assistant Manager - Wholesale Operations will assist in managing the daily operations of the supermarket’s Wholesale Department. The role ensures that wholesale orders are properly processed, products are available and well-managed, and customers receive efficient service. The position will also assist in leading the team and achieving sales and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Wholesale Department.
• Monitor wholesale sales, customer orders, inventory, and product availability.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of bulk and wholesale orders.
• Monitor picking, checking, packing, and releasing of wholesale orders.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, and other departments to ensure product availability and smooth order processing.
• Assist in handling wholesale customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
• Monitor inventory movement and ensure proper stock levels for fast-moving and wholesale items.
• Help minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and product losses.
• Monitor pricing, discounts, promotions, and other wholesale transactions.
• Assist in achieving sales targets and maintaining good relationships with wholesale customers.
• Supervise, coach, and support team members in their daily activities.
• Monitor team performance and ensure proper work assignments and schedules.
• Prepare and review sales, inventory, and other operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with supermarket policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Identify operational issues and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency and customer service.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related course.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in supermarket, wholesale, retail, distribution, or sales operations.
• Experience in wholesale or bulk sales operations is highly preferred.
• With experience in handling or supervising a team.
• Knowledge of inventory management, order processing, and sales operations.
• Good communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Willing to work onsite, including weekends and holidays, and on a shifting schedule.
