ASSISTANT MANAGER/FINANCE MANAGER

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager to oversee the company’s finance and accounting functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, financial analysis and internal controls, while providing financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the Company.
• Interpret, develop, and execute the company’s financial strategies, including planning, organizing, analyzing, and implementing optimal financial practices.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements and financial reports.
• Review and monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation and other accounting activities.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, as well as oversee cash flow and budgeting activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and legislation.
• To review the accounting systems and maintenance of financial and accounting records.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support business planning and decision-making.
• Supervise, guide and develop finance team members to ensure effective performance and productivity.
• Perform any other related tasks as required by management.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess a professional degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.

• Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheet applications.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial management principles.

• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Experience with AutoCount System will be an added advantage.
