Assistant Manager/Sales Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager/Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance to meet their needs, building strong customer relationships.
• Assist in managing daily store operations, including cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
• Support sales initiatives by promoting products and services, upselling where appropriate, and achieving sales goals.
• Oversee inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and ensure proper merchandising to maximize sales potential.
• Lead team members by providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Manage cash management procedures, including balancing registers, and safeguarding financial assets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Sales Associate in a retail or environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and inspire excellent customer service.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills with a focus on building lasting client connections.
• Basic math skills including retail math, cash reconciliation, and 10-key typing accuracy.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members across diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in retail management or store management is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Knowledge of large and small animals health and nutrition needs.
• Agriculture background preferred.
• High School Graduate or GED Certificate.
• Currant drivers license.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
