Duties

• Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and motivate retail sales staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales
• Handle cash register operations, POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
• Support employee orientation, training & development initiatives to enhance team performance
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations
• Utilize management communication skills to coordinate with team members and resolve customer issues promptly

Experience

• Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the retail or grocery industry is highly preferred
• Proven track record in retail sales management, inventory management, and operational oversight
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math skills for cash handling
• Demonstrated leadership in team management, training & development, and employee orientation
• Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
