Assistant Meat Manager

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Meat Manager to oversee our meat department, ensuring the highest quality of meat products and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have expertise in meat cutting, food safety, and culinary arts.

**Duties:**

• Help to Manage all aspects of the meat department, including inventory, ordering, pricing, and merchandising

• Supervise and train meat department staff on proper food handling, cutting techniques, and customer service

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and storage procedures

• Monitor product quality and freshness, rotating stock as needed

• Collaborate with vendors to source high-quality meats at competitive prices

• Assist customers with meat selection, providing recommendations and cooking tips

**Experience:**

• Previous experience in a meat management role preferred

• Proficiency in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of various cuts of meat

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist customers effectively

• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations

• Experience in food production or culinary arts is a plus
