Assistant Mechanic – Construction & Building / Store

We are established CIDB G7 Main Contractor specializing in construction and building projects in Sabah. As part of our continued growth and project operations, we are looking for a Assistant Mechanic to join our team based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Mechanic in servicing, repairing, and maintaining construction machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
• Perform basic inspection and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and repair works at construction sites.
• Keep tools, spare parts, and mechanical equipment properly maintained and organized.
• Assist in checking, receiving, issuing, and storing spare parts and mechanical materials.
• Maintain proper records of tools, spare parts, and equipment movement.
• Ensure the workshop and store areas are clean, safe, and properly organized.
• Report any damaged, faulty, or missing equipment and spare parts to the supervisor.
• Follow all company safety procedures and site safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mechanic or Site Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.

• Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, machinery, and equipment.

• Previous experience in construction, workshop, or store operations is an advantage.

• Able to work independently and work under pressure.

• Willing to perform general maintenance and store-related duties.
