ASSISTANT MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Assembly, Equipment Maintenance & Operations

• Assist engineers with the assembly, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of equipment (e.g., HVAC, chillers, pumps, piping, conveyor systems).
• Support operations during line setup, trial runs, and initial production phases.

2. Engineering Drawings & Project Documentation

• Read, review, and interpret 2D/3D CAD engineering drawings, assembly schematics, and mechanical specifications.
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), Engineering Change Requests/Orders (ECR/ECO), and compliance records.
• Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and bill of materials (BOM).

3. Quality Assurance & Site Supervision

• Assist QA/QC teams with part inspections, measurement checks, and root cause analysis for non-conformances.
• Coordinate site installation works with sub-contractors, vendors, and internal production departments.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with Malaysian safety codes (DOSH/OSHA) and quality management systems.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Technical Skills:
• Basic proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Understanding of basic mechanical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, or HVAC systems.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset, team collaboration, and good verbal/written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage for local manufacturing firms).

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
