Job Purpose :

The Assistant Merchandiser is an entry-level commercial role that provides essential operational support to the merchandising function. This role works closely with suppliers (demestic and abroad) and cross-functional teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time, quantity, quality, and cost while supporting the company's sales and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Product Management

• Assist the Merchandiser in product sourcing, selection, and assortment planning.
• Coordinating overseas orders, import documentation, shipment tracking, customs clearance, and communication with suppliers and related parties
• Track product availability and follow up on shipment schedules.
• Support new product launches and seasonal assortment planning.

2. Supplier Management

• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, lead times, and product information including all necessary activity related with oversea supplier.
• Coordinate internally with Purchasing, Merchandising, Warehouse, Finance, and Accounting teams for Import product shipment
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in negotiating commercial terms under the guidance of the Merchandiser (Promotion, TTA, Pricing etc).

3. Promotion & Pricing Support

• Prepare product lists for promotional campaigns.
• Verify promotional pricing and product information before launch.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Store Operations to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor promotional performance and prepare post-promotion reports.

4. Monitor KPIs

• Administrative Support
• Maintain accurate product master data and pricing information.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and purchasing documentation under the guidance of the Merchandiser
• Coordinate product samples and marketing materials.
• Ensure all purchasing documents are properly maintained.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Proven 1–2 years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, Purchasing, Inventory Management, perferably in the beauty or retail industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with promotional management software is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
