Job Description

SiZa Home HealthCare is looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and qualified Assistant Nurse with a valid DHA Assistant Nurse license or eligibility to provide post-maternity and newborn care services at patients’ homes in Dubai.

The ideal candidate should have experience in postnatal care, newborn care, and preferably NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) settings. Candidates must be attentive, responsible, and committed to providing safe, high-quality care to mothers and newborn babies in a home healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine postnatal care for mothers following delivery, within the authorized scope of practice.
• Support mothers with personal hygiene, comfort, mobility, and general recovery needs.
• Assist with newborn hygiene, diaper changes, bathing, feeding support, and general comfort.
• Observe and promptly report any changes in the mother's or baby's condition to the supervising Registered Nurse or treating physician.
• Assist with monitoring and documenting vital signs as assigned and authorized.
• Support breastfeeding and educate parents on routine newborn care under appropriate clinical guidance.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures, especially when caring for premature or medically vulnerable newborns.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively during shift handovers.
• Follow the prescribed care plan, company policies, and applicable DHA regulations.
• Escalate any signs of distress or medical emergencies promptly and follow established emergency protocols.

Requirements

• Recognized nursing qualification that meets the applicable UAE licensing requirements for an Assistant Nurse.
• Valid DHA Assistant Nurse license or DHA eligibility status, as applicable to the position.
• Previous experience in maternity, postnatal, newborn, or NICU care is preferred.
• Knowledge of newborn hygiene, feeding support, infection control, and basic patient care.
• Experience with premature or medically vulnerable babies is an advantage.
• Compassionate attitude, patience, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work in patients’ homes and follow care instructions from the supervising clinical team.
• Flexibility to work day or night shifts, depending on patient requirements.
• Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.
