Assistant Ocean Procurement Manager

A well-established multinational freight forwarding and supply chain solutions company is looking for an Assistant Manager - Ocean FCL Product Management to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and administer FCL ocean products of services under the direction and guidance of the Trade Lead

• Implement sustainable strategies to maintain and expand existing businesses and capture new businesses

• Communicate with shipping liners for rate queries and RFQ business

• Support RFQs by negotiating contract rates and competitive conditions aligned with bid requirements

• Maintenance of contract rates from shipping liners

• Manage space allocation, utilization and operational issues (escalations from the field), liaising with shipping liners and internal parties

• Prepare trade reports periodically

• Assist in monitoring volume performance of key accounts in response to Trade Strategy and Policy

• Support activities; carrier assignment / allocations / routing guide upon business award and contract filing

• Prepare meeting materials and PPT for carrier business reviews and internal meetings

Requirements

• Preferred degree holder in logistics, maritime or related disciplines

• Minimum 5-7 years working experience in global liner or international freight forwarder

• Experience in procurement, pricing and trade management.

• Good command of written and spoken both English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PPT applications

• Experienced in managing large data and generating data analytics

• Competency in business reporting applications e.g. Power BI
