About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Officer-in-Charge (OIC) to join our growing team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial operational role in supporting the management and coordination of janitorial and retail support services. As Assistant OIC, you will be instrumental in ensuring service delivery standards are maintained, staff are effectively coordinated, and retail environments remain clean and well-maintained. This position offers the opportunity to develop leadership capabilities whilst managing day-to-day operations and supporting the overall success of our service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily janitorial and cleaning operations across assigned retail or commercial locations
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to required standards and within scheduled timeframes
• Monitor staff performance, attendance and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Conduct regular quality inspections of cleaned areas and address any deficiencies promptly
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments and service reports
• Respond to client requests and concerns regarding cleaning and maintenance services
• Assist in training and coaching team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols
• Report operational issues and contribute to problem-solving initiatives to improve service delivery
• Support the Officer-in-Charge in administrative tasks and operational planning
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all times

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; vocational training in facilities management or janitorial services is advantageous
• Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role, preferably in janitorial, cleaning, or retail support services
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and supervise staff members
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety standards and best practices in facilities maintenance
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all work undertaken
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Physical ability to perform or oversee cleaning and maintenance tasks, including standing for extended periods
• Reliability, integrity and a professional approach to customer service
