About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Operation Manager to join our dynamic operations team at our facility in Semenyih, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of our daily planning and scheduling operations. You will work closely with senior management to ensure that all operational processes are optimized, targets are met, and our workforce is effectively managed. This role is fundamental to achieving our operational objectives and maintaining our competitive edge in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the oversight and coordination of daily operational activities
• Monitor operation team schedules and timelines to ensure targets are met and deadlines are achieved
• Support the implementation of planning and scheduling systems
• Manage and supervise operation staffs, ensuring adherence to safety, quality and performance standards
• Conduct regular inspections on products and equipment to identify maintenance needs and operational issues
• Prepare and maintain operational data reports on performance metrics and order arrangement
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and resource allocation
• Assist in managing inventory and stock levels to support production requirements
• Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and best practices
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across all operational activities

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in production operations, production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of team management, quality control and inventory management
• Proficiency in production planning and scheduling systems
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage production teams effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary
• Malaysian driving license and willingness to travel within the facility and to client sites as required
