Assistant Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Operations Manager to join our team and drive excellence across our supply chain and distribution functions. Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution activities.
• Plan, execute, and monitor freight movements efficiently.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL)
• Oversee warehouse activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and operational standards are maintained.
• Participate in demand planning, production planning, and procurement processes to align inventory levels with business needs.
• Assist in budgeting, cost analysis, and profit & loss management to ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Utilize ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS) for accurate data entry, reporting, and analytics related to inventory management and distribution operations.
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing transportation planning, inventory accuracy, and overall supply chain efficiency.
• Supervise team members across logistics functions, fostering a collaborative environment focused on high performance and accountability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including transportation planning, inventory control, and distribution operations.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and supply chain analytics tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, analyze profit & loss statements, and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting and data analysis purposes.
• Supervisory experience overseeing logistics teams or warehouse staff is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
