Cool Runnings Cape Town is looking for a dynamic, energetic and highly motivated Assistant Operations Manager to join our team!

We are not looking for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day. We need a truly hands-on leader who enjoys being outdoors, thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager with the daily running of the park.
• Actively supervise and support staff across all operational areas.
• Lead by example and step in wherever needed.
• Ensure all safety procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance management.
• Maintain excellent customer service and handle guest enquiries professionally.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with guests, staff and management.
• Ensure the park and facilities are clean, organised and well maintained.
• Identify operational challenges and take initiative to resolve them.
• Help create a positive, motivated and productive working environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Sporty, physically fit and energetic – this is an active, outdoor position.
• A genuinely hands-on attitude and strong work ethic.
• A self-confident personality with the ability to lead and make decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans, both written and spoken.
• Natural leadership skills and the confidence to manage a team.
• Previous supervisory, hospitality, leisure or operations experience.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• A proactive, reliable and responsible personality.
• Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence.
• Live within a 15 km radius of Cool Runnings Cape Town in Durbanville.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
• A passion for customer service and a strong commitment to safety.
