Assistant Operations Manager (Logistics/Warehouse Operations)

Job Overview:

• The Assistant Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations. The role ensures that warehouse activities are completed efficiently, safely, accurately, and in accordance with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• The position is responsible for warehouse operations, inventory and storage management, process improvement, quality compliance, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, shelving, inventory, and dispatch.
• Ensure accurate inventory records, documentation, and system updates.
• Monitor warehouse space, capacity, and overall operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality, safety, and ISO standards.
• Supervise, train, and manage warehouse staff and daily work assignments.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and KPIs.
• Identify operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive process improvements and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely operations.
• Prepare operational and KPI reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure proper maintenance, housekeeping, and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Support customer service and address operational concerns or service issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in logistics and/or warehouse operations.
• With experience in warehouse supervision or people management.
• Strong background in process improvement, continuous improvement, or Lean Management.
• Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse processes, and materials handling.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts is an advantage.
• Good understanding of workplace safety, quality, and ISO standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within strict deadlines.
