Assistant Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the operation of various industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring smooth production processes while adhering to safety protocols. Duties

• Assist in operating and monitoring machinery such as plastics injection molding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to verify product specifications.
• Support plastics production processes including injection molding ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
• Use hand tools and robotic systems for assembly, maintenance, or troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
• Perform basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and process adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously during machine operation, materials handling, and warehouse activities to prevent accidents.
• Assist with troubleshooting industrial equipment issues by identifying mechanical or electrical problems and reporting them promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience or familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes such as injection molding, blow molding, or extrusion.
• Ability to perform precision measurements using tools like calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes.
• Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of industrial equipment troubleshooting and engineering principles.
• Experience with materials handling, warehouse operations, or using hand tools in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with basic math skills necessary for dimensional measurements and quality inspection tasks.
• Ability to work safely following established safety protocols in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
