What they need
Part-Time Assistant Organizer | Space Restored (Austin, TX)
Do you feel most calm when a space is organized and everything has a place? Do you naturally start sorting, tidying, or reorganizing without even thinking about it?
Space Restored is a growing home organizing company in Austin, and we’re looking to bring on 1–2 part-time assistant organizers to join our team.
About Space Restored
Space Restored helps clients reclaim their homes through thoughtful, functional organization. We specialize in decluttering, move-in and unpacking services, and supporting clients through major life transitions.
Our work is hands-on, highly detailed, and deeply respectful of the people and stories behind every space. Sustainability is also a core part of what we do, and we prioritize rehoming, donating, and responsibly recycling items whenever possible.
We currently work with a small team of contractors and are expanding our core crew.
The Role
You’ll work alongside our team on in-home organizing projects, helping transform spaces into calm, functional environments.
This is physical, hands-on work in clients’ homes that requires both efficiency and care.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Decluttering, sorting, and categorizing household items
- Setting up organizing systems (bins, drawers, labels, etc.)
- Packing and unpacking during moves
- Assisting with donation drop-offs or light errands
- Maintaining a clean, respectful workspace throughout sessions
- Supporting clients with kindness and a non-judgmental approach
Who This Is Perfect For
- You naturally enjoy organizing and creating order
- You’re calm, positive, and easy to work with
- You notice details others miss
- You can take direction and also work independently when needed
- You’re comfortable working in clients’ personal homes
- You care about how things are done, not just getting them done quickly
Big bonus if you already love organizing, staging, moving, or similar hands-on work, but not required.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation (jobs may be up to ~30 miles from Austin)
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30–40 lbs
- Availability for daytime, weekday sessions (typically 9–5)
- Part-time, project-based availability
Pay & Schedule
- Starting at $25/hour
- Part-time, project-based work (hours vary week to week)
- Most work takes place during weekday daytime hours
Growth Opportunity
There is opportunity for growth into a Lead Organizer role for the right person. This includes taking on more responsibility, leading projects, and supporting clients more independently over time.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
Application Question(s):
- What draws you to organizing work, and what do you enjoy most about it?
- Tell us about a time you organized a space (your own, someone else’s, or professionally). What did you do and what was your approach?
- What's your favorite space to organize, and why?
