Job Summary

Japfa Comfeed India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant HR Manager to oversee and manage all HR and Industrial Relations activities at our Slaughter Plant located in Pedgaon, Daund. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a slaughterhouse, poultry processing, meat processing, or similar manufacturing environment. The role requires strong expertise in plant HR operations, statutory compliance, employee relations, manpower management, and workforce engagement.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

• Handle day-to-day HR activities at the plant.
• Manage employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfer, and exit formalities.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure timely attendance management, leave administration, and manpower reporting.

Recruitment & Manpower Planning

• Manage blue-collar and white-collar recruitment activities.
• Coordinate with plant heads and department managers for manpower requirements.
• Monitor contract labor deployment and workforce productivity.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements.
• Handle Factory Act compliance, CLRA, Labour Welfare, Minimum Wages Act, ESIC, PF, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Shops & Establishments provisions (where applicable), and other labor legislations.
• Liaise with government authorities, labor officers, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain statutory registers, records, and compliance reports.

Industrial Relations (IR)

• Maintain healthy employee and industrial relations within the plant.
• Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Conduct domestic inquiries and support disciplinary actions when required.
• Ensure harmonious working environment and smooth plant operations.

Contract Labour Management

• Monitor contractor compliance and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to statutory obligations by contractors.
• Manage vendor and contract labor workforce effectively.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

• Drive employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities.
• Organize training programs, awareness sessions, and communication activities.
• Foster positive employee relations and workplace culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10 to 12 years of HR experience in Manufacturing, Poultry Processing, Meat Processing, Food Processing, or Slaughter Plant operations.
• Prior experience in a Slaughter Plant/Poultry Processing Plant will be highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliances.
• Experience in handling a large blue-collar workforce.
• Good understanding of Industrial Relations and contract labor management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a plant environment.
