Assistant Plant Manager

We manufacture commercial kitchen equipment, tanks and railings. We are looking for a hands-on manufacturing professional to execute daily production plans under our Plant Head and coordinate shop-floor activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute approved production plans through section in-charges.

Monitor cutting, bending, welding, assembly, finishing and packing.

Coordinate manpower, material and machine readiness.

Track job-wise production targets, pending work and delivery readiness.

Follow up with PPC, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch to resolve delays.

Ensure quality checks, rework closure, housekeeping and safe working practices.

Maintain accurate production updates in Excel / Google Sheets.

Submit a daily summary of output, delays, corrective actions and support required.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred.

5–7 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years supervising shop-floor teams.

Relevant experience in SS/MS fabrication, sheet metal, commercial kitchen equipment, tanks, railings or similar manufacturing.

Ability to read engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.

Practical knowledge of fabrication processes and manpower coordination.

Working knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.

Strong follow-up, problem-solving and execution skills.

Comfortable working under the Plant Head’s direction and escalating issues promptly.

AI & DIGITAL WORKING

Use ChatGPT or similar AI tools to prepare production summaries, meeting action lists and delay reports.

Verify AI-generated information against actual production records.

Willingness to learn daily AI-assisted working is essential.

Coding and automation development are not required.
