Assistant Process Engineer

About the role

Assistant Engineer supporting Process Engineers in expediting evaluation and testing activities. The role involves cross section analysis, production support on the process line, and line monitoring with parameters tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Process Engineers in expediting the evaluation and other testing needed
• Perform cross section analysis as instructed by the Engineers
• Provide production support in the process line
• Conduct routine checks on machinery for vibrators, dosing pumps, chemical bath temperatures verifications
• Make decisions on action plans required for deviation in implementing operation control and infrastructure in work area
• Manage responsibilities related to operational control including disposal of hazardous contaminated waste, emergency preparedness, and identify possible aspects and impacts in process activities

About you

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Materials Science, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel for data logging, pivot tables and PowerPoint for reporting)
• Understanding of chemical handling safety, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and toxic substance storage protocols
• Experience in manufacturing (in wet chemistry, electroplating, or semiconductors) is an advantage
• Ability to execute tasks safely with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working in a chemically manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a continuous industrial acceptable noise zone due to heavy equipment from plating hoists, vibrators, chemical pumps
