ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT LEAD

• Support the Procurement Lead in managing end-to-end procurement activities for lighting products and project requirements.
• Source lighting fixtures, LED luminaires, drivers, lighting controls, smart lighting systems, poles, accessories, and related materials from approved suppliers.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers to improve cost efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
• Obtain and analyze supplier quotations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
• Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contractual agreements with local and international suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and service standards.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, shortages, delays, and supplier disputes efficiently.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and recommend improvement plans.
• Work closely with Sales, Design, Engineering, and Project Teams to understand procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement of project-specific materials to meet project schedules.
• Review specification sheets, BOQs, and procurement requests to ensure accurate sourcing.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure smooth shipment and delivery of materials.
• Monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory availability.
• Assist in forecasting material requirements based on sales projections and project pipelines.
• Support inventory control initiatives to minimize excess stock and stock shortages.
• Coordinate replenishment activities and improve inventory turnover.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Assist in monitoring procurement budgets and project material costs.
• Prepare procurement reports, supplier evaluations, spend analyses, and procurement forecasts.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
• Sound understanding of lighting technologies, LED products, and lighting controls.
• Ability to read technical specifications, BOQs, and project documentation.
• Strong analytical and cost-management capabilities.
• Prior work experience with a lighting manufacturer, lighting solutions provider, LED lighting company, or architectural lighting firm.
• Strong understanding of lighting products, specifications, and project-based procurement.
• Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• UAE Driving License (optional).
