Assistant Procurement Manager (Elevator Industry)

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of elevator and escalator spare parts, mechanical/electrical components, and technical services to support field maintenance, modernization, and new installation projects
• Optimize inventory levels to prevent supply disruptions while minimizing stock holding costs
• Monitor market trends, supply chain risks, and vendor performance to drive cost savings and process improvements
• Lead commercial negotiations and liaise with Main Contractors and Subcontractors
• Draft, analyze, and evaluate tender submissions, quotation comparisons, and contract terms to ensure commercial competitiveness and project compliance
• Execution and management of purchase requisitions (PR) to purchase orders (PO) using SAP system
• Ensure all procurement processes comply with corporate governance, ISO standards, and regional procurement policies
• Oversee material logistics, customs compliance, and vendor payment tracking
• Conduct regular alignment meetings with the Southeast Asia (SEA) Procurement Team to execute regional sourcing strategies and leverage group spend

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Diploma holders with extensive relevant experience in the Elevator/Escalator/M&E industry are also welcome to apply
• At least 3-4 years as an Assistant Manager with team leading experiences
• Must be proficient in SAP (Procurement / MM module experience is essential)
• Deep understanding of spare parts sourcing and sub-contractor management
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills to liaise with regional teams and external contractors
